Hannover is certainly not the cradle for Latin music, in fact it's better known for spandex hard rock (The Scorpions) and Ed Hardy happy hardcore (Scooter). But since 1998, Ralf Droesemeyer and Mark Foh Wetzler are waving the flag for German latin jazz and they're waving it pretty well. "Mo' Horizons And The Banana Soundsystem" is the fifth studio album and it comes up with a bunch of interesting guests to support the two producers. Percussionists Nené Vasquez (also a Latin Grammy Award winner) and Gypsy Brown, vocalists Marga Munguambe, Denise M'Baye and flamenco fusion duo Fuel Fandango to name just a few. "Mo´ Horizons And The Banana Soundsystem" is an exhilarant journey from Germany to Brazil in less than an hour and the perfect soundtrack for every beach party. By the way; the unquestioned highlight is an amazing reggae cover version of Prince's "Kiss".
