Carter Tutti VoidTransverse

Daniel Miller's legendary label Mute welcomes a new dream team of explorative electronic music. Throbbing Gristle’s Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti and Factory Floor’s Nik Void came together for this very special jam-session of stark rhythms, noisy electronics and an overall feeling of post-industrial dread. Four of the five pieces were actually recorded live at Short Circuit’s Mute Festival in London and it's the unpredictable dynamics of the constant improvisation that make the album so appealing. Obviously it is a dark and menacing affair, maybe the roughest material Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti have released in a very long time, which unsurprisingly sits very, very well with the current reemergence of industrial and post-punk templates and will probably have the new generation of industrial enthusiasts taking notes.
