Why does the formatting of the site look strange on my computer?
This site was designed using Firefox 2.0+ and IE7. If you are using IE6 or any other web browser, we highly recommend upgrading Internet Explorer and/or downloading/installing Mozilla Firefox.

How do I sign up?
It is so easy to sign up, and completely free! Click here to register your account, and start to make money today.


I like what I see, what do I do next?
To start the process click on 'register a free account' - here you can chose whether to register as an artist, a label or as Online Media.
Here you can also view and agree to the 'Terms & Conditions', our non-exclusive agreement.
Once you are logged in:

As a Label:
Enter artist name and click on 'add'.
You can set up limitless artist names, and thus you have one artist admin area for each of your artists, as well as your general label admin area.

In the Artist admin area:
1. click on "add album" or "Upload Your Music".
Here you can download the 'XiteRipper©'.
It rips the audio files and embedded data, allows you to complete the data, assign the album to one of your artists (for Labels), and it loads it all into your artist's admin area.

Once you have the 'XiteRipper©' on your desktop, all you need to do in order to upload music, is insert the music disk and open the 'XiteRipper©' from your desktop.

2. Go to 'artist's catalogue'
Click on 'album details'
Here you want to review the imported information. Make sure to 'save and continue' any changes or additions you make.

3. Click on 'Track List'
Check all track information and make any necessary changes and 'save and continue'.

4. Click on 'Upload Tracks'
If a green check-mark appears next to each track, that means all MP3 files are in the system. If a red X appears, that means you need to upload that track.

5. Click on 'album details' on top of page and:
Click on 'make available online'.
This allows you to populate your own 'XitePlayer©' playlist as well as it gives the media access to the music for their reviews.

6. Click on 'Artist's XitePlayer©' or 'Edit XitePlayer© Options'
This is were you make choices in regard to your own artist's XitePlayer©, which you than can embed into your artist web-pages.
Any albums that you 'made available online' will appear in the selection box. Any tracks from those albums can be put into the XitePlayer©'s playlist. You can change the track order once you added the tracks to the playlist selection box. Any albums that you 'made available online' will appear in the shop part of the 'XitePlayer©'.
'Save' your XitePlayer© setup, and the embedding code appears, for you to embed the 'XitePlayer©' in your artist web-pages.

7. Click on 'Artist's Media Section' or 'View Media Section'
Here you have options of uploading and viewing your press photos, press-releases, artist bios and other information that you want to make available for the Online Media community.


Who decides which MP3 is streaming, free to download, able to be purchased?
It is totally up to the artist or their label.


How do I add my content?
You can upload your music one of two ways. The first is through our FTP based XiteRipper©, which allows you to rip your music DIRECTLY into your account. The other is manually, track by track, if your audio-files exist as MP3 files on your computer.


How do I, as a blogger, make money?
Artists have music on our site that you can place into little jukeboxes called XitePlayers©. The embeddable XitePlayer© is placed into your blog, and with the click of a button, it opens up to reveal a discreet digital store. Readers can listen and can buy with just a few clicks, directly from the artist, while staying on your site. You receive 10% of all net sales, artists receive 70%, and we keep the remaining 20% of all net sales.


Who handles accounting and royalty distribution?
ArtistXite will transfer your income share monthly to a paypal account specified by you. ArtistXite will also transfer any payable mechanical royalties to the respective rights organizations.


How often will I get paid?
You will be paid monthly, by the 20th of the following month at the very latest. Should your earnings not exceed $20, the Paypal balance will hold over until you reach the $20 minimum, and it will be added to the next month's payment to you.


Do I need to be registered with a rights organization to use ArtistXite?
It is a good idea to be registered, in order to collect performance and mechanical royalties. However, in most countries, if all the recorded material is written by you, you do not have to register for mechanical royalty collection.


How and how much does ArtistXite charge me for this service?
This service is totally free for everyone. The only money that we receive is a percentage of the net sales. (We keep 30% of net sales and share those with the online media, when the sale was generated via their site, you receive 70% of net sales).


How do I embed my XitePlayer©?
It is simple. After you populate your XitePlayer© with songs of your choice, you merely click a button which will produce an HTML code. Insert this code into your site, and the XitePlayer© will appear!


How long does an XitePlayer© stay active?
They stay active as long as the music is made available through our site, and providing the html link remains embedded on the site in question.


Purchasing Music Questions:

What format are the downloads?
The downloads are in MP3 format, and generally 320 kbps.


What is the payment method?
Paypal, Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Discover Card.


Can I buy full albums as well as individual songs?
Yes.


How does the downloading work?
Once payment transaction is complete, you will get a confirmation e-mail with a link to your personal downloading page.


Do I get the album artwork with the purchase of an album?
With every album download, you receive the album cover artwork, as part of the zipped file that contains the music files.


How many times can I download the album/songs?
Up to 10 times in a period of two weeks.


Is your site secure? What do you do with my personal information?
Our site is 100% secure, and all payment information stays within the PayPal system, and is not stored on our servers .The only information we keep is your e-mail address, which we give out to no one under no circumstances. See our privacy policy for more information.


Do I have to pay tax when buying from ArtistXite?
Only where taxes are applicable.
