Finally, after three years in which guitarist and mastermind Omar Rodriguez Lopez released at least a gazillion solo albums, a release date for the next album by The Mars Volta has been announced. The follow-up to 2009’s “Octahedron” will be called “Noctourniquet.” It will feature 13 tracks and is due to be released on March 27, 2012.
