Veteran Scottish techno duo compiles a batch of recent remixes and original productions Published: Aug 13, 2012 Slam have been a mainstay of Glasgow’s techno scene since the very early days of the rave-o-lution, back when a whole generation in Great Britain started to spend their time at illegal raves, in old warehouses or in dark basement clubs. Orde Meikle and Stuart McMillan the two producers behind Slam co-founded the now legendary Soma Records in 1991 and released a serious amount of techno records that are widely considered as UK techno classics today.
