6. Cookies

Cookies are small text files that enable us to save information related to you as the user when you use the CCD services on your PC or another device.

For example, cookies help us to determine the usage frequency and the number of users of our Internet pages and to make our offers for you as comfortable, efficient, and interesting as possible or to collate data correctly to the right user account by using a “session-id”.

CCD uses cookies e.g. to save the data contained in “Cart” and “Memo” for the user. Cookies for non-logged-in users are valid for 24 hours. For logged-in users, the data in “Cart”, “Memo” and “History” are stored not in the cookie itself, but directly in the database.

To ensure needs-oriented design of our Internet services, our Internet pages also use Google Analytics, a Web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies. The information about your use of this Web site, which is generated by the cookie, is usually sent to a Google server in the U.S.A. and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this Web site, Google will first abbreviate your IP address in Member States of the European Union or other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to and abbreviated on a Google server in the U.S.A. in exceptional cases. Google Inc. uses the information collected with "Google Analytics" to analyse your use of the Web site, to compile reports on the Web site activities, and to render other services related to the use of the Web site and of the Internet in general to us. The IP addresses sent by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics are not linked to other data of Google. Usage profiles are not linked to data about the bearer of the pseudonym. You can prevent the collection of data concerning your use of the Web site (including your IP address), which are generated by the cookie set by Google Analytics, and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in that is available under http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can deactivate the saving of cookies in your browser, limit this to certain Web sites, or configure your browser in such a way that it alerts you when sending cookies. Furthermore, you can always delete cookies from the hard disk of your PC. However, please note that the CCD services cannot be used if session cookies are rejected.

7. Log files

For every page impression, the access data are saved to the server log. The saved data record contains the following details:

The time, the status, the request that your browser submitted to the server, the amount of data transmitted, the Internet page from which you accessed the requested page (referrer), and the product and version information of the utilised browser (user agent). CCD uses the standardised combined log file format of the Apache Web server for this purpose. Subject to any statutory retention obligations, IP addresses of users are deleted or anonymised after the end of the use. In the case of anonymisation, the IP addresses are modified in such a way that individual details about personal or factual circumstances can no longer be associated with an identified or identifiable natural person or in such a way that this would require an unreasonable amount time, cost, and effort.

CCD uses the log data for statistical analyses in anonymised form, i.e. without any association or indications concerning your person. For example, this enables CCD to find out on which days and at what times the offers of the CCD Web sites are particularly popular and how much data volume is generated on the CCD Web sites. Moreover, CCD can identify possible errors, such as broken links or programming bugs, with the help of the log files, which thus serve the further development of the CCD Web sites. CCD does not associate the page impressions and uses with individual persons. CCD reserves the right to use data from log files if certain facts give rise to the suspicion that the user of the CCD Web sites and/or of the CCD services uses these illegally or in breach of the agreement.

8. Right to information about personal data

You are entitled and have the possibility to request information about the personal data stored concerning your person from CCD at all times. The request for information must be sent by mail to the address specified in the legal notice. A certified copy of an official, valid personal ID card must be enclosed with the request for information. The information will be sent electronically to the user's e-mail address that is stored in our system.
