Rinse Presents: Brackles Brackles

Rob Kemp aka Brackles is one of the prime resident djs at London’s renowned ex-pirate radio Rinse FM, so it was just a matter of time until he would eventually release something on the radio station’s very own record label. After a string of more than well received eps on labels like Apple Pips, Blunted Robots or Planet Mu, he delivers his debut album, and it has „summer“ written all over it. On the twelve tracks Brackles excels once again in fusing house vibes with UK funky rudeness, latin-flavoured beat programming and a selection of catchy pop-infused vocal-contributions by Lily McKenzie, Terri Walker, Cherri V and Meleka, creating a nice balance between sing-a-long hooks, bass pressure and swinging darker rollers. Which makes the self-titled album the perfect weapon for the upcoming Nottinghill Carnival in August.
